Caring for your Sex Toys

Which batteries should I use in my sex toy?

Always use alkaline batteries NEVER rechargeable or lithium, batteries designed for high power are not appropriate for use in your sex toys. The best are the cheap alkaline batteries that you buy from $2 shops, The Reject Shop or markets, High power batteries will result in burn out of the small engines that run your sex toys. ALWAYS REMOVE THE BATTERIES AFTER USE to avoid corrosion to ensure the longevity of your sex toy.

How do I clean my sex toy?

Sex toys should be cleaned with SexToy Cleaner immediately after each use. As a secondary option, warm soapy water is also ok. Do not submerge your sex toy in water if it is not waterproof. Remember to place a towel or similar over the handle of any battery operated sex toys before washing to avoid accidental water damage.

How should I store my sex toy?

Sex toys should always be kept clean and safe, after cleaning them with our Playtoy cleaner (or mild soapy water), wrap in a clean t-shirt or towel and store in a nightstand, drawer or box. It is always a good idea to take the batteries out of your vibrator when storing as this prolongs the batteries and reduces the risk that the vibrator might accidentally get switched on. For silicone toys, we recommend you put a lubricated condom on it when you store it to keep the silicone supple and dust free.

How do vibrators work?

The movement of a vibrator is created by an electrical mechanism inside it. The motors in battery-powered vibrators are small and have an off-centre weight that spins around, making them shake. Larger, plug-in vibrators have bigger, more powerful motors, and some models use spinning electromagnetic coils to create movement.
